Laser Engraving is the process of using a precisely controlled laser beam to either discolour the surface of a component or product, or to actually engrave it by vaporising the material.
The laser parameters and its position can be very accurately controlled to provide high contrast marks in the form of barcodes, logos and graphics onto a variety of different materials.
Laser engraving will not distort or otherwise damage surfaces the way conventional engraving can as no part of the machinery comes into contact with the item that is being engraved. Laser engraving marks generally have a better contrast than typical laser engraving and can engrave images at over 1000 dots per inch which make it highly suitable for reproducing graphics and logos.
